The Center of Excellence Starter Kit includes components and tools that provide a solid foundation for governance, security, and compliance within the company. After the standard installation, further customizations can, of course, be made.
With the help of a Power BI dashboard, the CoE displays all activities resulting from the Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps and Power Automate. This gives those responsible a comprehensive view of compliance implementation and license usage.

Corporate governance refers to the internal control and management structures of a company. It is commonly referred to as the organization’s “constitution”. Compliance, on the other hand, means the active implementation of the governance guidelines in practice. It is usually translated as “conformity to rules”.
The idea differs from the old approach of “command and control” in which one person held complete decision-making authority, but also responsibility. Governance is intended to enable greater efficiency and productivity by enabling many to make their own decisions – but this in turn leads to more complex responsibilities. The core principles of governance are fairness, accountability, responsibility, and transparency of structures and processes.
Compliance encompasses all rules and measures to adhere to established ethical standards, for example, to combat corruption or to protect sensitive data. It also includes occupational health and safety and ways for whistle-blowers to report irregularities. The guidelines are usually laid down in a code of conduct.
