Responsibility in the hands of employees
The Arineo Foundation is committed to promoting and spreading the concept of so-called employee-owned companies (EOC) – companies that are owned and governed by their employees. The goal is to support corporate structures that focus on long-term stability, independence, and employee participation.
At its core is the idea of permanently free companies from the influence of external shareholders and instead running them in the interests of the employees. Decisions should be made where they have an impact: by the employees themselves, through clear, legally anchored management structures.
Because genuine participation needs more than a good corporate culture - it requires a legally established framework.
The Arineo Foundation supports individuals and legal entities involved in the implementation or promotion of EOC concepts. It focuses on three key goals:
The foundation holds 100% of the shares in Arineo Holding GmbH and, therefore, in its subsidiary Arineo GmbH. In this way, the EOC principle is directly anchored in the company’s day-to-day operations.
“Employee-owned companies offer answers to the key challenges of our time: They promote participation, secure company succession, and strengthen long-term responsibility – without short-term external interests.”

The foundation’s mission is realized through a variety of activities, including:
Participation in conferences, lectures, and discussion formats on the topic of employee-owned companies
Further education, training, and consultancy on implementing EOC concepts
Support for start-ups and structures dedicated to the EOC idea
Raising public awareness of employee-owned companies through targeted media and public relations work
Whether as a succession plan to secure long-term independence or to promote genuine participation within the company, the Arineo Foundation provides advice and support in developing suitable models.
