Why Arineo takes steward-ownership a step further

With the Arineo Foundation, Arineo brings its experience as an employee-owned company to the public sphere and strengthens responsible ownership as a viable model for the future.

Through the Arineo Foundation, Arineo is spreading its understanding of responsible business practices beyond the company. The foundation is committed to promoting and spreading employee-owned companies – companies that are owned and governed by their employees. In doing so, the Arineo Foundation makes its purpose visible: the values practiced within the company are also intended to have an impact beyond Arineo.

From internal practice to social responsibility

Arineo was founded as an employee-owned company and adheres to the principles of responsible ownership. The experience gained from building and implementing this model shapes the foundation’s commitment. The aim is to strengthen corporate structures that are geared towards long-term stability, independence, and genuine participation – beyond short-term profit interests.

What distinguishes employee-owned companies

Employee-owned companies are permanently free from the influence of external shareholders and anchor decisions where their impact is felt. Clear, legally secured management and decision-making structures ensure that participation is not only culturally desirable but also reliable.

At the center is a long-term approach to business. It creates stability, secures jobs, and strengthens the employees’ sense of identity with the company.

Wibke Jellinghaus

“Employee-owned companies prioritize long-term success over short-term gains – that’s what makes them so future-proof.”

Wibke Jellinghaus, Chair of the Arineo Foundation

Responsible ownership shaped by practice

The practice at Arineo shows the importance of a clear framework for shared entrepreneurial action. When responsibility is structurally anchored, employees can support decisions and actively shape the company – not as an exception, but as a principle. These experiences shape the foundation’s thematic focus.

How the Arineo Foundation works

The Arineo Foundation supports the approach of employee-owned companies both in practice and in public communication. It supports initiatives, promotes exchange between engaged shareholders, and makes responsible ownership more visible. This model offers a viable alternative, particularly for companies that want to secure their independence or rethink succession.

Sharing knowledge, promoting exchange, creating impact

To promote this development, the foundation focuses on knowledge transfer and networking. Expert presentations, discussion formats, advice, and support for start-ups all help to spread the model. In this way, it leverages experience from establishing and shaping an employee-owned company at Arineo to actively contribute to public discourse. It demonstrates that employee ownership is not only a value but also a robust model for the future.
