The commercial development of the lower Maschmühlenweg is making further progress: following the acquisition of five contiguous parcels of land at the district sports facility at Maschpark, Arineo GmbH is planning the construction of its first office building with more than 5,000 square meters of usable space. This is to be used not only by the IT company itself but also by other companies in the region. “We need around 3,000 square meters of office space for our current and future employees at the Göttingen site. We will lease a further 2,000 to 2,500 square meters to regional companies on a long-term basis,” explains Arineo managing director, Dr. Marko Weinrich. Talks are currently being held with five local companies.
Since the company founding at the end of 2018, the Arineo GmbH management had been searching for suitable office space. As an interim solution, the young company rented the office space formerly occupied by the Sparkasse bank in Paulinerstraße. “The search for suitable office space was not easy. We were very lucky to get this fully developed plot close to the city center,” says Weinrich. Armin Asselmeyer, seller of the plot and founder of Sanitätshaus o|r|t, is also pleased to have found a suitable neighbor for his former company: “It was particularly important to me that the plot went to a growing regional company and that a stable neighborhood could be created for Sanitätshaus o|r|t. I firmly believe that the entire neighborhood will benefit from this.”
Goldbeck, a long-standing customer of Arineo GmbH, will be contracted to build the office facility. The new owner intends to submit the building application plans in April so that construction work can begin in the fall. “If everything goes according to plan, our 2023 Christmas party will be held in the new building,” says Weinrich confidently.
