For over 50 years, GOLDBECK has been perfecting systematic modular construction for its customers: visible elements are customized, and essential components are industrially prefabricated in one of the 14 plants in Europe. Extremely sophisticated planning, production control, and logistics are necessary to ensure that GOLDBECK buildings can be handed over to customers on time.
The company, with more than 12,000 employees, entrusted Arineo with the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain Management, complete with all modules: purchasing, production, warehousing, logistics, finance, and controlling. Due to the extreme complexity of the company’s processes, the project team of around 80 in-house consultants from GOLDBECK and Dynamics specialists from Arineo opted for an agile approach and initially implemented the solution in a steel construction plant in Poland with 120 Dynamics users. Further rollouts are currently taking place for over 100 clients throughout Europe.
All system elements must not only be economically and securely manufactured in a well-coordinated production process on a project-specific basis but also delivered just in time to the construction site.
GOLDBECK realizes over 500 projects per year, including logistics and industrial halls, office and school buildings, multi-storey car parks, and residential buildings and manufactures essential system elements from steel and concrete in-house. This means that the ERP system must manage complex planning processes with maximum flexibility. Some genuine stress!
The ongoing production and sales processes cannot be disrupted by the new launch under any circumstances.
As the new Microsoft Dynamics 365 FSCM was initially introduced at one of the 14 production sites in Europe, numerous interfaces to the legacy system had to be implemented. Additionally, integration with Lasernet for document automation and interfaces to CAD software was required.
