For the digitalization of its business processes, the Minden-based company relies on the Microsoft Power Platform and Arineo’s expertise. For example, with Arineo’s support, the company’s citizen developers – employees with extensive process knowledge but little knowledge in IT development – have programmed apps for assessing occupational safety or booking internal training courses.
The Arineo team not only accompanies them with practice-oriented training for every level but also provides ad-hoc assistance in projects and collaborates with IT to establish the Center of Excellence to ensure compliance.
The Arineo team has provided and set up the Center of Excellence (CoE) at WAGO and trained the IT managers on it. This Microsoft starter kit secures WAGO against data loss, manages permissions, and helps to comply with governance best practices and compliance guidelines. For example, the IT manages development, test, and production environments in the CoE, the guidelines for avoiding data loss (DLP), and the application lifecycle management (ALM). The best part: WAGO’s IT managers can access pre-made graphical Power BI analyses of capacities and activities in Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps, and Power Automate through the CoE. This allows them to keep track of all critical data, published apps, and active systems.
The linchpin of Arineo’s services at WAGO is the transfer of knowledge in the areas of Power Platform, Center of Excellence, and Dataverse at different technical and professional levels. In addition to courses in German, courses in English were also offered for the international WAGO subsidiaries. In the practice-oriented training, the course participants created their first apps and tools. This enabled them to quickly realize their digitization project while at the same time consolidating what they had learned.
Many of WAGO’s citizen developers are now able to independently create sophisticated power apps and workflows that are relevant to their daily work. If they encounter tricky use cases with more complex data structures, they can simply rely on the expertise of the Arineo team. For Arineo, it is always important not just to solve the problem, but also to impart the knowledge to find the right solution. “We work according to the principle of helping people to help themselves.
