Responsibility in the hands of employees: General meeting of the Arineo Employees’ Association

A special milestone for Arineo: the first general meeting of the Arineo Mitarbeitenden Verein e.V. (Employees' Association) was held following the establishment of the Arineo Foundation, marking the full implementation of a central element of our EOC (employee-owned company) - and a major step towards long-term participation and entrepreneurial independence.

The Employees’ Association Foundation is the shareholder of Arineo GmbH. It ensures that our company permanently remains the responsibility of our employees – and thus independent of the interests of other investors, succession planning, or sales speculation.

Election of the committee and executive board

A key agenda item of the general meeting was the election of the association’s committee, which, in a later meeting, went on to elect its executive board:

Oliver Schild
Deputy Chairman

Frank Schiefelbein

Frank Schiefelbein
Second Deputy Chairman

The committee represents the interests of the association’s members. The executive board is responsible for day-to-day business and ensures that the association’s purpose is actively pursued in its daily operations.

"A true sign of shared responsibility"

Wibke Jellinghaus, the newly elected chairwoman of the association, says:

The general assembly and the executive committee meeting were a special moment for all of us. With the election of the committee and the board of directors, we, as employees, are assuming concrete responsibility for our company. This is real participation – and a strong sign that our steward-ownership model is more than just a concept on paper.”

A model with a future

With the first general meeting, the implementation of the EOC concept was formally completed, although the content journey continues. Responsible ownership is not a static model but a living framework in which employees can actively contribute, shape, and make decisions. At Arineo, we understand stewardship ownership not just as a structure but as an attitude: we believe that companies are more successful in the long term if the people who work for them also take responsibility for them.

Shaping together - sustainably and with purpose

The general meeting was a visible expression of this attitude. It showed what is possible when a company sets its course together with its employees – not short-term and profit-driven, but sustainably and focused on the common good.

We would like to thank everyone who actively contributed and took on responsibility, and we look forward to the next steps as an employee-owned company.
