After three trainees completed their IT specialist training in application development ahead of schedule in spring with excellent results, the company feels that its training strategy has been validated once again. “We are delighted with Adrian Hitsch’s and Cornelius Köpper’s excellent final exam results,” says Eileen Zimbal, the training supervisor at Arineo. And she adds: “Our goal is to ensure that through our training, we produce our own junior staff who will be familiar with both the company and customer projects by the end of their apprenticeship.” The company has had positive experience assigning trainees early responsibility for tasks and projects alongside a solid technical education. All graduates of this training year have been offered permanent positions.
“What I particularly appreciate about this training is the variety that comes from daily working life. You don’t just spend eight hours a day programming; you also get to know many other areas such as sales, consulting, and project management,” says Cornelius Köpper, summing up his experiences during the training. From Adrian Hitsch’s perspective, IT professions are particularly interesting because they require both technical skills and various soft skills: “Soft skills such as teamwork and communication are very important in our training. The ability to work in a team is crucial, as many projects are carried out in close collaboration with other developers. Communication also plays an important role in allocating tasks, clarifying requirements, discussing problems, and developing solutions together.”
