Why are corporate values important?

Generation Z prioritizes sustainability, social justice, environmental protection, and human rights. They value transparency and authenticity in social and political matters just as much as clear communication and honesty. We wanted to know how young people perceive our corporate values and whether they align with their own values. Our apprentice Vitan Slavev, a third-year application developer, has the answers to our questions.

Why are personal values important to you?

Vitan: Personal values guide me and help me to act authentically. For example, honesty and openness are particularly important to me because they build trust. That’s why the corporate value “Open, honest, and authentic” resonates most with me. Our mission statement emphasizes that we should not pretend to be someone we’re not and that we deal honestly with each other and with customers and partners. We make information transparent, give feedback, and together, find good solutions.

During my training, there were situations in which I struggled to find a solution to a task. Openness and honesty helped me to address my challenges with my trainer, giving me valuable feedback and teaching me how to improve.

Are there any values that you particularly appreciate in your job?

Vitan: Trust, cooperation, and quality are particularly important to me. Trust creates a solid foundation for growth, and collaboration enables us to learn from one another. Quality and efficiency are essential to ensuring the company’s success. These values are also reflected at Arineo.

For example, during my training, I had the opportunity to work together with other trainees on small tasks, such as preparing internal presentations. This experience has shown me how important trust and respectful teamwork are.

Have you experienced a situation in your training where values were particularly important to you?

Vitan: One defining moment was when I had to rely on the support of my fellow trainees. It became clear how essential trust and teamwork are for completing tasks efficiently and successfully. This experience perfectly reflects the corporate value of “We are a team.”

How do the company values help you to develop professionally and personally?

Vitan: Ich habe die Möglichkeit, an internen Weiterbildungen und Schulungen teilzunehmen, die meine Fachkenntnisse erweitern. Das zeigt mir, dass meine Entwicklung dem Unternehmen wichtig ist. Dadurch fühle ich mich ermutigt, mich kontinuierlich zu verbessern und Verantwortung für meine eigene Zukunft zu übernehmen.
