Arineo and the Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg Comprehensive School conclude cooperation agreement

Arineo GmbH and the Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg Comprehensive School want to cooperate in the future and promote the exchange between business and school. Joint projects are designed to give students an understanding of STEM professions and prepare them for the demands of the working world.

Arineo GmbH, headquartered in Göttingen, and the Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg Comprehensive School, also located in Göttingen, have agreed to a cooperation. The cooperation is intended to support the educational work at the school with a stronger connection to the real world and to help the students in their career orientation and preparation. This is intended to promote a better understanding of the mutual expectations and requirements that young people have in preparing for their personal and professional futures, as well as their readiness for training.

With Arineo providing practical examples, the lessons are to be designed in a realistic and activity-based way. In concrete terms, this can be seen in various projects:

with 4,000 euros and professional support, Arineo is sponsoring the student project "Promoting electric mobility for the school community through the purchase and operation of e-charging stations". The student cooperative and the Arineo trainees exchange information regarding the dashboard control of the e-charging stations for e-bikes and e-cars. Furthermore, there will be company visits and presentations with Arineo training ambassadors as part of school career guidance lessons. Student internships and shadowing with the IT service provider's trainees are also offered as part of the cooperation.

“The cooperation with the Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg Comprehensive School is a great opportunity for us to specifically get young people excited about STEM professions," says Sarah Peters, HR officer and contact person for school cooperation at Arineo GmbH. "The school already has exciting initiatives and we want to contribute with our practical knowledge. As an IT service provider, we are pleased to be able to encourage our young IT talent at an early stage."

Dr. Gerold Wacker, a member of the Collegiate School Board at the school, sees a great opportunity in the cooperation: "The newly initiated cooperation between Arineo and the Lichtenberg Comprehensive School is another important building block in the mosaic of our school profile. We are bridging the gap between theory and practice for the students and giving career orientation a practical aspect through attractive projects. Committed companies from the region gain access to interested young people and can involve their trainees in the cooperation - also as ambassadors for future training that makes them curious for more. Overall, we are thrilled to be able to shape future viable networks together."
